The World

The World represents accomplishment, integration and the capacity to bring several dimensions together into one coherent whole.

What the card shows

At the centre of a wreath of foliage, a figure dances, a staff in each hand. In the four corners, an angel, an eagle, a lion and a bull surround the scene.

Its light

Bringing together the different parts of an experience gives a more complete understanding. Seeing the whole path helps you keep what stays useful and sort out the rest.

Its shadow

Wanting to stretch out a finished cycle stops you from recognising its completion. Settling at the summit cuts the drive, and the search for perfection hides what is accomplished.

Notes on the symbolism

RWS. Arcana XXI. The last card of the sequence, it gathers the symbols already placed in the Wheel and closes the journey opened at the start.

What this card invites you to do

Acknowledge what is finished without playing it down or stretching it out. Name what this cycle taught you, then make room for what follows.

A card does not decide for you.
It shows you where to look.
