The King of Wands stands for the mature mastery of the strength of action. He sets a direction, gathers and organises resources around one intention.
A king in armour, under a broad crowned hat, holds a tall staff and sits. One of his feet, turned at an angle, rests on the tiled floor set at the bottom of the card.
A direction stated simply arranges the work around it: everyone finds their place and what matters becomes obvious. The king is seated: he holds the course without running, and that is what makes the rest tenable.
When the king loses patience, direction becomes pressure: you confuse your heading with the common interest and you cut people off. The team obeys and stops proposing.
Symbolism TdM. The king closes the order of the court figures: he governs where the page learns the trade, without leaving his place or his staff.
Say where you are going, then let the means be discussed without you. A clear direction makes others autonomous; watching every step makes them dependent on you.
