The Three of Wands develops action by giving it a wider structure. It stands for expansion, connection and the growth of an initiative.
The three Wands stand upright, two crossed and one at the centre, linked by interlace. Foliage hangs along the shafts and reaches down to the ends of the card.
What is already launched carries the rest: a third direction has value only if it ties into the first two. Seeing far from a solid base avoids opening one more project.
Three staves spreading apart no longer support each other: the initial force is divided and each direction moves halfway. Looking far without consolidating what is held lets the center empty out.
Symbolism TdM. Three of Wands. This card belongs to the numbered cards, which show their number without a scene: the reading rests on the number and not on a small tableau.
Before adding a direction, check that the central one still holds. The third wand leans on the first two: expand from what holds, never from what is missing.
